AI Random Ideas
This page has some of my random AI experiments. These may work or break at any time, and may not get developed further. Most were made with the help of ChatGPT Codex, Claude Code, or some other model so there very well could be bugs. If you're interested in an idea, reach out.
- Rolling Balls - A game where you compete against the AI opponent, Ka, by taking turns to collect balls with varying point values. Based on Crazy Party. Music by DJ Goldfingas.
- Space Junk, formerly Audio Space Invaders - Using Gemini 2.5 to create a simple web audio game. Not really a faithful Space Invaders clone, it was just the type of concept I was going for. Later expanded with Codex.
- Scale This - A simple 2D audio game also using Gemini initially, later Codex. Collect musical notes in order, avoid demons.
- Game List - Using Codex to create more similar or different audio games. This page has the list of games under this colection.
- The Great Escape - The Great Escape was a popular game for the Apple II computers which appeared in the 1984 programming book "Golden Flutes and Great Escapes: How to Write Adventure Games for the Apple Computer," by Delton T. Horn.
Converting the Applesoft BASIC code to a modern web game was a task that tripped up a lot of earlier AI coding agents, especially due to the rather obsolete coding language and the amount of decisions in the game. ChatGPT 5.6 and Claude 5 finally nailed it, though even they did not produce a completely bug-free game on the first try.
- 2-note Simon - Regular Simon, but with double the notes at once.
- NVDA Add-ons from the Bleeding Edge
Recently active NVDA add-ons discovered on GitHub. Using Codex 5.6 Terra High
- Hearthstone and Battlegrounds Text Reference - Text-based info and tools for Hearthstone and Battlegrounds.
- Braille Apps for Dot Pad X -
Web apps that take advantage of the multiline Dot Pad X braille display. Most playable without a display as well.
- Mealkit Recipe Search -
This tool builds Google searches for publicly indexed recipe PDFs.
- Forecast Explorer - Explore current forecast data on a map. Using Gemini 2.5 along with some public API data.
- Talking Clock - Speak the time using the voice of a Sharp Talking Clock. Definitely buggy. This one was coded poorly by hand before AI.
- Music Dice - What if dice played cords? Your dice roll is a cord that matches musically.
- Music Captcha - Time to make a CAPTCHA that frustrates people that may not be blind. Audio captcha for music people.
- Music Captcha Chords - Then the idea came to take it to the next level. This one is devious.
- Radio Directory - Web version of a shared folder of radio station links, thanks Matt.
- Theremin Experiment: An experimental project simulating a theremin instrument, produced on the first day with ChatGPT 3.5.
- Find me on Github
Buy me a Ko-Fi so I can feed the hungry models.
